Little Nightmares 2
One of the highly-anticipated games from fans of independent and distinctive games. The second part will be released next month, and in case you are worried about whether you will reach the players' expectations, we will talk about that in our impression of it after we tried it for two hours. In short, we can say that it is still mysterious and terrifying, but in a better way.
The first part of "Little Nightmares" presented us with a confusing, depressing world full of tension and terrifying characters who did not know mercy, and the second part Kipper does not differ in the style of play but rather new elements and mechanisms have been added. I am not a fan of horror games nor do I prefer them, but I was able to play the first part and enjoyed it, but the level of horror in the second part was higher. At the beginning of Little Nightmares 2, we found ourselves in a forest, and the first part of the game shows you the mechanics of the game, how to move and hold things, and what you will encounter in the forest like traps.
We will play this time as Mono, a lost new character who puts hats or a paper bag on her head in a nice way, but the horror she has experienced or will live explains to us why her face is covered. As we said above, you'll start your journey in the woods and you'll see traps, trees, and cages as well as guts and outdated items. As you progress more and more and survive, the level of stress will start to rise as you enter the first house you see. After wandering around the house you will see another familiar character imprisoned in the basement. This character is Six, the heroine of the first part, but without her iconic yellow outfit.
Climbing high places
Six was not playable, but it helped you to climb to high places and not to pull heavy objects, and you can say that she is your partner. After helping her and getting out of the house, the first chase begins from the terrifying "hunter" who tries to kill you and Six as soon as he notices you and you must avoid the strikes and disappear. The hunter always focuses on killing you and not on Six, which is expected, and you will see the horror that Six lives, but I hope it has a greater role in the style of play and the story ahead.
As you wander through the woods and escape from the hunter and his gun, you will notice the beauty of Little Nightmares 2 and how the graphics are improved in a way that suits its dark world and art style. Between the grass or when the hunter is away from you, you will notice how the lighting differs and you will also notice the details in the world between the mud and the weeds or the houses that you enter. Indeed, the game does not need to focus on graphics to be great, but the team produced an excellent result in my opinion.
After the woods, you will head to a strange and mysterious city and here I notice a distinct difference in the design philosophy of the stages for the development team. I don't want to burn the experience on you, our dear followers, but in the second semester of school, the essence of the game began to appear more and more and more mechanisms were defined where you can sometimes use things to defend yourself and the game presented these moments with times when you wish you felt strong.
Puzzles also play an important role in "Little Nightmares 2" and during the two hours I played, there was no challenge noticeable and everything would have been solved if I thought about it enough.
The physics engine was also perfect and realistic, but the sound system and sounds were great and I was able to live the completely terrifying mono experience especially during the game with headphones. When you have a door in front of you, for example, you will be able to hear what is going on in the second room and hear the steps, which helped increase tension and terror and provide an immersive experience.
There is no script in the game and everything narrated from the interaction and the environment and Little Nightmare 2 succeeds without a doubt. We have also witnessed the approach of the character of Mono and Six after the terrible experiences they lived together, and this relationship is expected to grow further and further forward.
Finally, let's talk about the language. Bandai Namco is well-known when it comes to our beautiful language, and in “Little Nightmare 2”, an Arabic experience of texts was presented excellently with the use of a font dedicated to menus and writings similar to the English language so that the experience does not differ at all. Great work from Bandi Namco without a doubt and I am eager to immerse myself more in the game that is scheduled to be released on February 11th on home appliances and computers.
